SYNOPSIS

Leads large frontends and design systems for enterprise and government, builds Foodzone, and ships both with AI agents doing most of the typing.

DESCRIPTION

At work I am the lead frontend developer at Z Ware and the principal frontend engineer on myGov at Services Australia. I lead the teams and the systems behind big public-facing frontends, including the myGov Design System at Services Australia, where one set of components had to serve many teams and frameworks.

Outside work I am the founder of Foodzone, a nutrition analysis platform for Australian nutritionists. It is a real product with paying customers, and its current version was built by directing AI agents rather than writing the code by hand.

Most of what I build now runs through agents. My job is the architecture, the review and the judgement about what ships. This site is built the same way, and the writing here is about what that is actually like. When I step away from the agents I go climbing, and sometimes bolt new routes.
